TRA Alerts Applicants: Longer Wait Times for Australia Migration Assessments

Overview

Due to a significant increase in application volumes for both the Migration Skills Assessment (MSA) and Migration Points Advice (MPA) programs, TRA advises that processing times have extended beyond typical expectations. Currently, assessments are taking over 120 days to complete.

Processing Times and Application Queue

All applications are reviewed in the order they are received to ensure a fair and systematic approach. Applicants are advised to plan accordingly, as increased demand may impact individual assessment timelines, requiring ample time for processing.

Expedition Requests

At this time, expedition requests may not be possible due to the high volume of applications. For those concerned about specific visa deadlines, it is recommended to contact the Department of Home Affairs directly to discuss potential options.

Communication Guidelines

To help streamline the process, TRA kindly requests that applicants refrain from contacting them for status updates, as all applications are processed as promptly as possible.

Appreciation for Patience

TRA extends sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused by these delays and appreciates the patience and understanding of all applicants as they work diligently to manage the increased workload.
